Jin was the most popular character in the fan survey before Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 was released. But now that there are new characters, the opinions may have changed!

1st Place: Britz (8th place in Japan)

Britz takes first place! Though he was the only Berman in the crew, he forged strong bonds with the other children and became an invaluable asset.

Best Characteristics
・He overcame adversity and became a really cool character between what happened in 1 and 2
・He became calm and positive after the events of Fuga: Melodies of Steel.
・He is calm, caring and kind to everyone, and competent in
everything.

2nd Place: Malt (1st place in Japan)

Malt takes second place! In the sequel, he grows into a more mature leader worthy to be called a hero. He's become like an older brother to the other children as well as Mei. It seems like the survey participants picked him for his leadership and reliability.

Best Characteristics
・He has such will power despite such dark events that has afflicted him.
・Malt is very inspiring, a brave brother who takes care of his sister and everyone else more than himself. Even in trouble, he would make sure to be the one to save everyone.
・Bravery and integrity.

3rd Place: Jin (5th place in Japan)

Last time Jin was first, but has fallen to third this time. That being said, many people gave him lots of love in the comments.

Jin begins to understand Flam, who he once hated, and now shows much mental maturity. Many people commented that they liked how he overcame his internal conflict.

Best Characteristics
・He has a little cute face and long snout.
・Jin because he is the character who has evolved the most between Fuga 1 and 2, he has matured and is no longer impulsive.
・He’s a hard worker who overcame his revenge and rage and helped Malt overcome his.

4th Place: Kyle (10th place in Japan)

Kyle ranks fourth place! Kyle learned from his experience in battle in the first game, and grew into a more considerate and cooperative friend. Players love his rivalry with Malt.

Lots of comments came in about how Kyle keeps a cool distance, yet also is fiercely protective of his friends.

Best Characteristics
・His ability to mantain a level head even in the hardest of situations made him feel as much a protagonist as Malt. He has grown from city boy to trusty companion to all the other kids and that makes him such a good character in my opinion.
・Kyle is the best boy because of how much he comes out of his shell because of Hanna and the others.
・He has a cool exterior presence and attitude and talks tough. But on the inside he is sensitive and caring.

5th Place: Boron (4th place in Japan)

The always warm and sweet Boron takes fifth place. Through fierce battle, he changed from a crybaby to a reliable ally.

Many people commented how they loved Boron's kindness and gentleness.

・He's big and fluffy.
・He's got a heart that's even bigger than his stomach, and always tries his very best.

6th Place Onward Ranking

6th Place: Sheena (9th place in Japan)

Best Characteristics
・Overcoming hatred and her self-loathing to become a strong-willed, adorable magical kitten.
・Sheena learning to accept her magic and being more confident is great character development

7th Place: Wappa (5th place in Japan)

Best Characteristics
・Even in the worst situation she's doing her best to give a smile at Taranis Crew and other people.
・I love her in the 2nd games when she is here for Malt

8th Place: Mei (8th place in Japan)

Best Characteristics
・She's a precious cinnamon bun who just wants to help and has the most adorable relationship with Boron
・Her adorable innocence and continuous support for her brother.

9th Place: Vanilla (2nd place in Japan)

・Fierce but also compassionate
・Being full of rage with a big forehead.
