2019年9月5日、任天堂がWebプレゼンテーション番組“Nintendo Direct 2019.9.5"を放送。その中で、『Return of the Obra Dinn』が、Nintendo Switchで2019年秋に発売となることが発表された。

　開発者のLucas Pope氏のTwitterによると、プレイステーション4版、Xbox One版もリリース予定とのこと。

　同作は入国審査ゲーム『Papers, Please』の作者による作品。白黒の世界で事実を紐解くミステリーアドベンチャーゲームとなっている。
