On Sunday, November 13, 2022, the final battle in the WGC (World Gran Colosseum) to determine the world's No. 1 guild for the smartphone RPG game "SINoALICE" was held. Coverage of the live match and other recent news were featured on the official JP livestream "SINoALICE Live: The Fight to be the World's #1 Guild! 2nd WGC Final Battle Special".
In the final battle, last year's winning guild "LiLLion!" and "＊*勿忘草＊*" (Wasurenagusa), who had both placed in the Top 8 of the previous tournament, went head to head in a fierce battle.

What is the WGC?
The WGC is a worldwide online tournament in which players compete in 15 vs 15 player guild battles at the "Colosseum." Following last year's first event, the second year of the WGC attracted more than 80,000 entries from 139 countries and regions for both the Global and Japanese versions of the game. The tournament ran for six months from June to November. This year, the winning guild will once again be rewarded with a variety of fabulous prizes, including the chance to act as producer of SINoALICE for a day.
The following two guilds advanced to the final battle of this year's competition.
LiLLion!
The returning champion of the first WGC last year made it to the final match with momentum from its impressive victory over the No. 1 Global guild in the tournament's semifinals. Their favorite SINoALICE character is Sleeping Beauty.
＊*勿忘草＊*
This talented guild reached the Top 8 during last year's WGC and was defeated by LiLLion! in the previous tournament and in the pre-match of this year's tournament. Having lost by a mere swing of their weapons, this guild is burning for revenge. Their favorite SINoALICE character is also Sleeping Beauty.
Each match is 20 minutes long and every player uses WGC-specific classes, weapons, and armor provided by management. Each player's status is pre-set, so the fate of the match is up to the player's ability.
Final Match Report
At the start of the final match, the ＊*勿忘草＊* guild was quick to turn the entirety of their members into Red Riding Hoods right at preparation time. From there, both sides continued their onslaught to accumulate combos and bonus effects.
The first to gain the upper hand early in the match was LiLLion! who was waiting for the perfect timing to summon their "nightmare," a being each player can summon once to cast a powerful effect like buff and debuffs in battle. The goal is to wipe out the opponent's entire vanguard and attack their guildship to earn a large amount of lifeforce before opponents revive.
When the first of two chances to summon a "demon" appeared, an opportunity opened for ＊*勿忘草＊* to counter LiLLion! who already had two successful guildship skirmishes.
The first successful demon summon came from LiLLion!, however, immediately afterwards ＊*勿忘草＊* triggered a guildship skirmish, and by holding out until the very last minute, they were able to shave off the demon's effect time, also turning the tables on the amount of lifeforce lost.
LiLLion! tried to counter, but ＊*勿忘草＊* kept on downing their guildships, taking the lead with approximately 4 million with only 7 minutes and 30 seconds of the match remaining. That's when the second demon summoning chance appeared.
The second demon summon was also won by a narrow margin by LiLLion!. With a near double lifeforce score difference, LiLLion! would have to down two more guildships. Still neither guild was in a hurry to use their nightmares, and a stalemate ensued, each guild carefully watching their opponent's moves.
LiLLion! was the first to act. Thanks to the effect granted by the demon summoning, they were able to down a guildship and reverse the tides to a point where their lifeforce was only marginally outnumbered. After the guildship skirmish, a standoff ensued to see who would be the first to make a move.
Again LiLLion! took the lead in the final stage as they quickly went full force in a guildship skirmish.
Following the intense guildship skirmish, LiLLion! downed another guildship. ＊*勿忘草＊* tried to counter with a powerful nightmare effect, but it wasn't enough to waver LiLLion!'s members.
With 50 seconds remaining, LiLLion! was in the lead by about 5 million lifeforce. ＊*勿忘草＊* kept up the offensive, and to our surprise entered into another guildship skirmish. If all went well, they could still gain enough lifeforce to come out on top.
Unfortunately, they were unable to reach their goal. And so, defending their crown, LiLLion! won their second consecutive WGC.
In an interview following the end of the match, the winning members of LiLLion! voiced joy at their victory saying, "I'm happy. Happy is the only way to express it." And, "I'm glad we were all able to fight in the event together." On the other hand, the members of the defeated ＊*勿忘草＊* spoke their frustrations and how close they were to victory. Further, they expressed their determination to "take revenge" in the next event.
