特別功労賞は任天堂の青沼英二氏に

　イギリスのビデオゲームアワード“Golden Joystick Awards”第34回にて、フロム・ソフトウェアより発売中の『DARK SOULS III』がGame of the Yearを受賞した。

　また、『オーバーウォッチ』が5冠を達成。さらに『ポケモンGO』や『ゼルダの伝説 トワイライトプリンセス HD』が受賞し、任天堂・青沼英二氏が特別功労賞を受賞している。
