Nintendo Switch 2用の新機能は、“巻き戻し（リワインド）機能”と、画面表示をブラウン管テレビ風に加工する“CRTスクリーンフィルター”の2種類。また、Nintendo Switch/Nintendo Switch 2共通の新機能として、ボタン設定の変更機能も追加される。
なお、ボタン設定の変更機能は、“ゲームキューブ Nintendo Classics”にも搭載されることが明らかになっている。
